Who Are the Communities of Light?
Our purpose is to respond to failing, untrustworthy systems by coming together as a network of communities that claim our inalienable rights and human freedoms, so we can create the lives we want for ourselves and our children.
Our goal is to build a community grounded in Christian values,
We exist to build practical independence in a parallel society, in the essentials of life, reclaim our right to self‑govern, and form resilient communities that cannot be easily controlled by centralised powers. All this to protect our right to choose for ourselves.
Our mission is to start a growing network of Communities of Light built on integrity, love, and a genuine desire to serve one another.
- Supporting the formation of local Communities of Light that develop practical, parallel systems so families are less dependent on centralised control.
- Creating a culture of “learn then teach,” where we first gain understanding and practical competence, then deliberately pass that knowledge on to each other.
- Cultivating opportunities, so every person can contribute skills, labour, resources, and heart.
Our vision is to become a growing network of local communities where:
- Practical Independence provides access to land, water, food, shelter, and energy beyond centralised control.
- Independence Within the System allows people to use legal structures intelligently without surrendering their will or defaulting their affairs to the state.
- Collective Independence connects families, projects, and communities into a living network that protects individual and shared freedom in a conditional world.
